Bay City suing City Hall roofing contractors
BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -
The new Bay City Hall roof is complete but the headaches aren’t over. The city is taking the contractors to court.
A lawsuit filed by Bay City claims the two contractors were negligent in overseeing roofing work at City Hall last year. City officials also blame the contractors actions for the October fire that shutdown city hall.
There are 9 counts against roofing contractor Gregory Construction and subcontractor Mihm Enterprises. The Bay City Commission will meet Monday with city attorneys to discuss the lawsuit for the first time. The meeting is closed to the public.
