Bixby Woman Says Roofers Used Old Materials
A Bixby lady says she got taken when a organisation showed adult to put a new roof on her house. And she’s disturbed it’s function to others.
FOX23’s Janna Clark has both sides of this story.
Jennifer says when she pulled adult to her residence that day she suspicion her new roof looked fine. But it was what she couldn’t see that incited out to a large problem.
Jennifer paid for her new roof though found out later, it wasn’t all new.
Her word representative told her usually one-fourth of her roof was indeed new.
Jennifer says a thatch association bailed on a finish of a contract.
“I deal with contracts on a daily basement for my job, and it seemed legit. I have to contend I was really taken,” Jennifer said.
So Jennifer hired profession Steve Capron.
“All a faces of a roof that aren’t manifest are aged material,” Capron said.
He believes even a new roof is trashy work.
“The wavy undulations of a aspect is not what a new roof is ostensible to demeanour like,” Capron said.
So Capron called a thatch company’s owners – dual brothers – Bill and Casey Pittman. They sent an employee, a director on Jennifer’s job, to take a look. In the video Capron took, a director admits a pursuit wasn’t finished right.
And a director says a owners change a company’s name each time they get in trouble.
The Pittman’s stream association is called Precision Contracting and Roofing. It’s not protected in Oklahoma.
And we found out the word group a owners explain insures them doesn’t exist.
We talked to Bill Pittman on a phone.
He admitted a pursuit wasn’t finished right though pronounced Capron didn’t give him time to make it right.
Pittman even told us he’d reinstate a income and that he won’t work on any some-more roofs in Oklahoma.
Capron listened a Pittmans are headed to tornado-ravaged Joplin.
We checked with a city of Joplin. Pittman’s association did get a permit to do work there. But Pittman told us he deliberate operative there though motionless to pierce on to Kansas City, Missouri, instead where he says he’s now doing thatch jobs.
Jennifer says a Pittmans are only well-spoken talkers.
“I would contend beware… don’t do any kind of business with them,” Jennifer said.
You can check to see if a thatch executive is protected in Oklahoma.
You can lift adult the list on a Department of Health’s website. It says either or not a thatch executive is in good standing. Those manners went into outcome Dec. 7. 2010, so any thatch work finished before afterwards does not tumble underneath stream standards.
