Church Roof Collapse Threatens Gas Line
Grand Junction - Firefighters, construction workers, and Xcel crews were put on high warning Monday afternoon after a church’s roof fall threatened a vast gas line in downtown Grand Junction. The fall happened along a easterly side of St. Joseph Catholic Church’s bishopric bureau opposite a travel on Sunday. The sagging roof was unresolved precariously over a gas scale connected to a vast gas line.
The church didn’t comprehend a dangerous conditions they had on their hands until a executive came out Monday morning to consider a damage.
“It’s a blessing this happened on a Sunday when no one was inside,” bishopric bureau manager Yolanda Bellgardt said.
