Break it into 3 paragraphs or more and mention why you didn't drop your courses. You might want to trim down the first two paragraphs so your letter doesnt get too long. Never more than one page typed.

    Thank you for posting this.

My parents had a friend of a friend (who they believe “does great work”) install a roof about 8 years ago. Roughly 30% of it blew off a couple of days ago in a wind storm. I had a professional roofing company come out to look at the damage and they showed me the exact same problem as depicted in your video.

Hopefully, your video will help to clarify to my parents that the roofing company is not trying to rip me off and that their friend is an idiot.

@coldsud17 : the real problem is asphalt shingles are cheap shit. people always seem to want a roof in the summer time, when its hot as hell, the guys don’t give a damn about any quality, and the home owners attitude is, just get it done and get out of here. OSB decking is crap, don’t hold nails, and a nail gun only blows holes into it. staples work better. the heat from the nail kills the area around the shingle, for nails that did hold, I worked as a roofer for a few years in so.cal, it sucked.

@coldsud17 : when they were around ELK made the, well, if you call it that, the best asphalt shingle. I installed every brand that was available in this area. but ELK was bought out, by a shingle manufacture who’s product I will not install.

Every day I see workmanship issues that I just can’t believe. That’s why I do the before-during-after pictures and post them on my website. It’s a true “trust builder”.

My customers love the pictures and video.

actually phuckintubers he is absolutely right about what’s going on with this roof. those are blow throughs (poor QC) it is nailed high and but what he failed to state ( but I’m sure he knows) when you nail the shingle properly you actually catch the top of the shingle below which further helps reduce blow offs. O and certain-teed architectural shingles are probably the best on the market
