OSHA fines 4 area firms for reserve issues

Federal regulators have fined 4 northwest Ohio construction contractors and a Minnesota organisation over reserve violations found during inspections of work sites in a area.

In all, a U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration doled out fines totaling $126,760.

Salgau Roofing Inc., 301 Burger St., was fined $33,880 for 4 violations. OSHA labeled dual citations as “serious,” one as “willful,” and one as “repeat serious.” The bullheaded defilement was for not regulating guardrail systems, reserve nets, or personal tumble detain systems for employees operative on a second-story roof in Perrysburg.
