Federal regulators have fined 4 northwest Ohio construction contractors and a Minnesota organisation over reserve violations found during inspections of work sites in a area.
In all, a U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration doled out fines totaling $126,760.
Salgau Roofing Inc., 301 Burger St., was fined $33,880 for 4 violations. OSHA labeled dual citations as “serious,” one as “willful,” and one as “repeat serious.” The bullheaded defilement was for not regulating guardrail systems, reserve nets, or personal tumble detain systems for employees operative on a second-story roof in Perrysburg. The critical violations were for disaster to sight employees on a correct use of tumble impediment systems. The repeat defilement was for crude ladder placements.
Jason Westhoven and Associates, a ubiquitous executive formed in Napoleon, was fined $33,660 for 6 “serious” violations and dual “repeat serious” violations during a work site in Napoleon.

The repeat defilement was for employees not regulating tumble protections while operative on a low-slope roof.
Fred’s Roofing Home Improvement, 1478 Schuyler Rd., was fined $21,000 for 13 “serious” violations during a pursuit site in Ottawa Hills that enclosed dismissal of asbestos shingles.
Violations enclosed a miss of correct respirators, no “competent” administrator for asbestos work, and not labeling a rabble bin as containing dangerous material.
Property Construction LLC, of Brooklyn Center, Minn., was fined $18,200 for one “serious” defilement and one “willful” defilement during a work site in Findlay. Both violations associated to employees not being scrupulously stable from falls while operative on a roof.
