Please help to answer the question about metal roof contractorLawyers!!! Contractors!!! HELP!!!?
An independent contractor that I know is being sued for a metal roof he installed this summer. The woman suing him is stating that he did work she did not ask for and that he used too small of screws. He offered to fix the problem for her, but would not remove fees for the work that she changed her mind about, as it was her request. She is suing for over $2,000 above what he was paid for the job. He offered to give her the money so she would leave him alone (he has no chance in court as he documented none of their conversations), but now she wants to wait until after Winter in case there is damage done to the house due to leaking during this time. Everyone is bowing down to this woman when it is more than clear that she is simply looking to make him miserable for not kissing her @ss in the first place! It's very frustrating, because his lawyer doesn't even seem to have an answer! Does anyone have any advice?? I really don't think he is being treated fairly. PLEASE HELP!!!
