THIEVES stole around 44 paving slabs from a house in Christopher Road, Alford.
The theft was discovered on Saturday, January 21 and police say this is part of an increase in thefts of garden ornaments across the area.
These include stone items, flags and in one incident, an entire garden walls.
Unlike scrap metal dealers, stone reclamation yards are not required by law to record details of the people selling them.
Anyone who may have information about this theft is urged to call 101 quoting incident 125 of January 21.
