GREENVILLE, S.C. — Emergency officials in a western Carolinas got calls about skill repairs and blocked roads after a array of absolute thunderstorms swept by a area Thursday.
Part of a roof was ripped off a Townville Fire Department on Highway 24 in Anderson County.
Fire crews pronounced lightning struck a Regency during Chandler Park unit formidable on Highway 14 in Greer. The lightning sparked a tiny glow in a attic. The apartments were evacuated for a brief time until firefighters contained a fire.
Damage was also reported in Berea, where a tree landed on tip of a residence on Highlawn Avenue. Other trees and energy lines were also knocked down in Berea.
Officials from a southern to eastern Upstate reported downed trees and energy lines.
Duke Energy has reported thousands of energy outages opposite a Carolinas.
There were no reports of injuries caused by Thursday night’s storms.
