"Stop Crime, Hire a Felon"
got a Felony?
get Felony Insurance.
http://www.bonds4jobs.com/

n 1966 the U.S. Department of Labor established The Federal Bonding Program to provide Fidelity Bonds that guarantee honesty for “at-risk”, hard-to-place job seekers. The bonds cover the first six months of employment. There is no cost to the job applicant or the employer. In most states the bonds are made available through the state agency responsible for workforce matters.

The Federal Bonding Program is a partnership between the U. S. Department of Labor and The McLaughlin Company, an insurance brokerage firm, as agent for Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America.

Of course your parents want to be supportive of you.

It would seem they are more concerned with your financial well being. Parents, via a vicious cycle, are constantly overcoming financial hardships in order to give their children better opportunities.

Your parents gave you a headstart that will allow you to study something that will support you.

Try compromising. I did with my parents. I majored in Theatre, and minored in Education. Both industries are tough but I can always fall back on teaching.

Do you have any sort of interest in architecture? Maybe you could major in that, and minor in Fashion. Or the other way around.

it's important, as much as you want to do what you love, to think about the future you are building for yourself and a spouse you might have and children you might have. When it comes down to it, it's practically never about you.

First, consider that your young age may be as much a factor as your gender. Many "roughnecks" in construction are older, beer-swilling losers. They tend to be know-it-alls and hate to be told what to do by anybody, much less by a YOUNG female.

Always be calm and polite to everybody until they disrespect you. Only then should you pull rank and boss them around. If you are bossy coming out of the gate to demand their respect, they will just view you as a bitch from the start. Assume they respect you until they prove otherwise.

I hate this saying, but "you catch more flys with honey than vinegar". You can be direct and give orders with command while still being polite. As soon as you lose your temper and scream or stomp around, your hope of these men respecting you is lost. Think of your high school teachers. There were some women that commanded respect and some that got walked all over. No amount of screaming and yelling changed that. Think of how the respected teachers carried themselvess and emulate them. Even construction workers aren't as chauvinistic as high school boys.
