Thornton lady says roof scammer left her home unsafe
THORNTON, Colo. — For Lisa Guede gripping a roof over her family’s conduct is a struggle.
“I listened this large aged kabam…I was like what in a world? There went a roof.”
Lisa had her roof transposed final year after it got beaten by a accost storm. But Ed Humphreys, a thatch executive Lisa hired with sum transform took her initial $5,000 payment, started a work and never came behind to finish.
“I attempted to call him, no answer.” Lisa’s roof is now descending down around her. Her cabinets are mangled and H2O washes down a walls.
“I consider he’s a large time fraud artist that likes to slice people off.”
And Lisa is not alone. Police contend Humphreys has pulled a same fraud in Florida, California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and now Colorado.
FOX31 Denver couldn’t strech Humphreys by phone and his Lakewood bureau –which he lists as his business residence –it was sealed and empty. Lisa lives in fear now that her roof will fall and harm her desired ones.
“I’m fearful for my safety, my kids safety, my grand kids safety.” That’s since she’s warning families to stay divided from this roofer, who military contend has ripped off so many. “I’m not a usually one, I’m certain we won’t be a last. But we would certain like to strengthen as many people as we could.”
Lisa contacted her word company, though since a word association feels it already paid for one roof, it’s refusing to compensate for it again.
