On a tornado-ravaged mountain that overlooks a Apison village where a late Apr twisters killed 8 people, Aaron Scroggins, Brian Cabrera and William Howard are restoring a roof.

Scroggins, a thatch contractor, told a Chattanooga Times Free Press he had been carrying work for some-more than a year before a record-setting storms swept by a region.

Scroggins pronounced that now “we could work 7 days a week if we wanted to.”

His work has a multiplier effect. He has to buy shingles, nails and other reserve and those purchases compensate suppliers and sales taxes.

An central who represents contractors in East Tennessee pronounced there’s “years of work” to be done.
