UK’s usually frigid bear celebrates birthday

Enjoying a new icy blast, a bear, named Walker, rolled around in a sleet during his Highland home.

As good as display off his new toys, a 58-stone animal munched by a large ice birthday cake, pressed with salmon, apples and carrots and surfaced with his favourite: sardines.

The immature bear was also given a new workman’s tough hat, one of his favourite playthings.

Highland Wildlife Park had to interest for some-more of a hats in a summer as Walker done brief work of nipping by a supply.

Keepers during a Highland Wildlife Park in Inverness-shire, where Walker lives, detected a bear’s gusto for a headgear when volunteers from a Royal Monmouthshire Regiment Territorial Army and a 73 Engineer Squadron Territorial Army visited a park to assistance with construction projects and he became “fixated” on one of a tough hats.

Walker was innate in Rhenen Zoo in a Netherlands on Dec 7 2008.

He was a messenger to Mercedes in a Highlands until she was put down in April. The well-loved bear had age-related health problems.
