When Your House Is No Longer Your Safe Haven

When Your House Is No Longer Your Safe Haven

The roof is the house’s first defense against the harmful setbacks of Mother Nature. It protects the residents of the property from the rain, hail, snow and even the harsh sunlight. The roof is the one that takes a beating just so it can protect the people inside the houses, apartments, buildings, stores, malls and other covered places. In Miami, the roof installed in each house is sure to protect the residents from tropical storms, which the area is known for. Just like any other device, equipment or tool, the roof needs much care and maintenance as well. If you do not want strong winds to tear your roof apart, if you do not want leaks, then better make sure you have your roof inspected. You should see to it that your roof is checked at least once a year. You can do the inspection yourself if you have knowledge in the field, or you can also hire contractors to do it for you. If you plan on repairing your roof without seeking the help of the professionals, make sure that you have the right tools and that you really know what you are doing. Take the necessary precautions for you might end up hurting yourself. If you are not experienced in taking on the job, it is best to leave it to the experts. There are a lot of Miami roofing companies you can contact if you need help. You just have to search for them at the yellow pages or through online search engines. You are secured that your roof will be as good as new by the time the experts are finished with it. They have the knowledge and they also have the necessary tools to complete the job such as ladders, hammers, scrappers, nails and scaffoldings. Sometimes, roofing in Miami has obstacles such as a skylight or ventilation. If you want to get an estimate close to the actual cost, advice the Miami roofing companies about this. Having an obstacle may mean less material but it can still amount more for it will take longer time to finish the job. Miami roofing companies take into consideration the strong winds that often plague the area. This is why they use metal roofing more often. Metal roofing is more eco-friendly and it is able to last a lifetime also.

    religious reasons, not wanting their baby to grow up, fear of stds/pregnancy

    I can't think of any other reasons. But honestly, if you're at least 16 I'd say and you are in a steady relationship and you're on birth control + using a condom…there reallly isn't a problem.

    Hey Arielle,

    A very well done! I'm impressed, keep it up! :)

    A few lines in particular which I really liked;

    1. To watch the big ball of light in awe
    2. To lay at my side in the dewy grass
    3. I recognized Mom's neat penmanship
    4. In the dim firelight.

    SOME TIPS;
    As a writer myself, when I'm working on a novel (Despite it becoming tedious) I realize the importance of re-writing each paragraph once or twice. In doing this, vary your vocabulary and use of sentences (Short, complex etc). Have a play around with it, and then decide which one you like the best. It'll help you develop your writing.

    PLAN;
    Before commencing your novel, ensure you know well how you wish it to start, climax and end. True fact: The last chapter of Harry Potter was written by J.K Rowling in 1990!
    Long before some of the complete books!

    As for titles; How about Firelight or Stargazed, something that correlates well to your novel? The title isn't very important yet, you may even wish to decide on it as late as the last chapter.

    Best wishes Arielle…

    If you are in the US, you will have to check with your local municipality to see if there are leash laws. If so, the dog has to be on a leash or safely fenced in.

    Disclaimers such as you suggest are not valid. The only legal duty owed to trespassers is to not intentionally harm them.

    If the property is too big to be fenced in, set out some surveillance cameras.
